What are Helminths?
The word Helminths is derived from Greek work meaning ‘worms’. These parasitic worms are commonly responsible for causing infections in human body that causes disease like Malaria and Tuberculosis. Helminths worms are of two types:-
Nemathelminths –having stretched thin unfragmented tube-like structurewith their mouth located in the front of the body.
Platyhelminths – can be classified into
Tapeworms – which have stretched flat bodies
Flukes – which have small flat bodies
These worms can enter the human body through infected food and water. Mosquitoes, cockroach, flies etc. are the most common carriers of larvae of the worms. These worms are generally found in internal body organs like lungs, brain, liver and intestine. They are also localized in lymphatic tissues and blood vessels

Most common symptoms of the infections are Cough, Nausea, Vomiting, Weight loss, Diarrhea, Dysentery, and Asthmaetc.
Diagnosis & Treatment

The most commonly used diagnosis tools for infections are Fecel Test, Characteristics eggs in stool, raised IgE levels etc.
The most common natural way of getting rid of the infectious worms are Intestinal cleaning, use of Garlic &Ginger, Black Walnut and Pumpkin seeds. Medical treatment includes use of drugs like Albendazole and Mebendazole, Pyrantelpamoate, Piperazine, Diethyl carbamazine, Ivermectin, Praziquantel, Niclosamideetc etc.
