What is Cancer?
In a healthy body, the cycle of nurturing, splitting, dying and then regeneration of new cells is continuously performed in a very controlled manner. In some cases these cells do not die until a tumor or lump is developed. This out-of-control, abnormal cell growth in any part of body has capacity to invade healthy tissues and organs and develop colonies in other part of body which leads to serious illness; even to death. The transformation of normal cell in a tumor cell in any person is the result of his genetics and some influencing external factors. This speedy creation of abnormal cells flourishes beyond their usual boundaries and then invades adjoining parts of the body and spread to other organs which is known as metastasis. In researches it has been proved that the process of metastasis is responsible for major number of deaths due to cancer.
