Generic Astelin is an antihistamine drugs that is frequently in use for treating moderate to mild persistent rhinitis. It is manufactured at different geographical locations such as UK, Europe, US, Australia, Finland, etc. Therefore, the medicine is available under various brand names such as Azepin, Lastin, Optivar, Astepro, etc. The medicine got approval from FDA in the year 1996.
Generic Astelin should be stored at a temperature that should not be more than 25 degree centigrade. It should always be protected from light, heat, open flame, dampness and moisture. The patient should always keep the medicine away from the reach of children and pets. All the medicine should be checked for the expiry date before using it.
Generic Astelin contains azelastine hydrochloride as active ingredient. Some of the inactive ingredients present in the nasal spray are dibasic sodium phosphate, edetate disodium, sodium chloride, hypromellose, purified water, etc.

In case, it is time for the next dose by the time missed dose is remembered by the patient, then they should skip the missed dose and use the dose as per their planning.
