Mechanism of action:
Tadaga 20 mg is almond shaped tablet that is used orally. The medicine when consumed by the patient, supplies blood to the penis. Due to this, the penis gets erect, a condition for overcoming erectile dysfunction.
When Tadaga 20 mg is used by the patient, the blood vessels brings blood to the penis and due to this, the size of the penis gets increased. As a result of this, more blood enters in it. Blood vessels also take away blood from the penis and thus its size decreases.
Tadaga 20 mg is used for treating erectile dysfunction in male.
Side effects rather unwanted responses that some patients might get after using Tadaga 20 mg are:
Low blood pressure
At times, patient might also experience painful erection or erection might last for more than four hours. Some patients might also feel palpitation, stroke, increased heart rate, dizziness, etc.
Some of the medicine that might interact with Tadaga 20 mg and increases its level in the blood includes erythromycin, Itraconazole, Indinavir and Ritonavir. These drugs might reduce the breaking and elimination of the medicine from the body.
Rifampin, Carbamazepine, Phenytoin and Phenobarbital interfere with the action of Tadaga 20 mg and decreases the level of the medicine and thus its effects are reduced.
Some nitrates containing drugs also interact with the action of Tadaga 20 mg which includes:
Doxazosin, Prazosin, Terazosin are alpha-blocker medicine that is known to interfere the functions of Tadaga 20 mg.
This is not the complete list of drug interactions. Some other drugs might also interact with Tadaga 20 mg and produce harmful effect on the body.
Tadaga should be taken a low dose of 10 mg initially per day before physical intercourse. If needed, this dose can be increased to 20 mg or decreased to 5 mg, depending on the requirement of the body. The patient should, however, consult to the doctor for exact dose of the medicine.
Tadaga 20 mg is taken only “when needed” before physical intercourse.
If the patient suspects for the overdose of the medicine, then they should consult to the doctor immediately.
The patient should not take more than one tablet of in a day.
All the inactive ingredients should be checked properly by the patients so that it can save them from getting allergic reactions that they might get due to ingredients of the medicine.
